Streetlight Manifesto

Bullet points are totally necessary here.

I went to the Streetlight Manifesto concert at the Cleveland Agora last night with Stev.

  • I have some pretty fierce bruises to show for it. -1 because I look like I belong in a battered persons’ shelter, +2 because I also look kind of rugged and maybe people will take me seriously.
  • A whirlpoolmosh pit developed behind us and I probably would have been trampled if Steve wasn’t persistent with holding onto me. Reminds me of this time when Brandon careened down the driveway, penguin toboggan style in a suit jacket, on Joey’s skateboard as a car was approaching and Joey jumped on him to halt his advance. Brandon was fine, but his suit jacket wasn’t. To quote Brandon, “Next time just let me DIE!” -1 for pain, +2 for awww, thanks man.
  • My favorite, obnoxiously bright red sneakers are now black. -3
  • I didn’t have a panic attack or assume fetal position. +3
  • I weighed 3 lbs less the next morning, putting me at 150, which means I am officially normal weight. Let’s hope it doesn’t fluctuate. +3
  • Streetlight Manifesto is even more fun live than on CD (or Mp3, you know what I mean) and the two opening bands were pretty good, too. Actually, it was more like one opening band (”Zox”) and a dorky guy that played before the opening band who had a lot of “Whoa oh!” in his lyrics. But still. +5
  • Overall: A+ would do it again
