Time Warner decided to not provide cable to our house a few days back, so we were without dial tone and internet. Therefore, I was unable to look up pictures of plants and talk to my friends.
Wow. That last sentence. Wow. Reading it over…I want to delete it. But I won’t. I can look forward to rereading this post (after I’ve ideally moved on to bigger and better things) and vomiting a little. I can already imagine the taste of an antisocial teenage past curdling in my mouth.
Well, anyway, I AM working on a drawing (which involves tadpoles) (and plants) and although my drawing style leans in the 2D direction, I still need to look at photographs if I ever hope to accurately depict plants, because hell if I know how many petals daffodils typically have.
That’s a lie. I happen to know the general specs on daffodils; they have six petals. I just need collect my wiseass points for the day, and any wiseass will tell you, the only way to do that is by being a wiseass every chance you get.
(Then you can use your points to purchase wiseacres, which is crucial in expanding your territory. That you are the king of.)
So what I’m saying is, I have no problem drawing, for example, female figures, because, being a female, I am quite familiar with how they look. I’ll guesstimate that look at myself naked more than I look at plants, which I think is normal for most people. I hope.
I should research that. I wouldn’t want to like…accidentally be a freak.
