I can tell by my dad’s exasperated “Ccccccccraaapppp…..” that just came from the living room.
Today, I’m going to revisit the part in yesterday’s post where I mentioned that I live under a rock. I spent the last 45 minutes falling in love with SHAKALABBITS’s most recent album (self-titled) which was released back in…October?!
Surely I wasn’t doing anything important in October, so half of me is surprised I didn’t know this, because they are one of my favorite bands.
The other half is going “Well, Rose, you’ve been getting out more. That’s a good thing. Don’t hate yourself for not being one of those people who lurk in the forums on a band’s website thirsty for every drop of news that exists. You can love something without being obnoxious about it.”
Thus far, my favorite PV off of this album is “Circadian Bird” (what an intriguing title). I think everyone should watch and listen for at least the first 15 seconds, because that bass ditty is hard not to love.
And something noteworthy that happened just now: I received a text message from britt @ boingyboingy . com. Huh.
Before I quit this post, though, a band I want to further investigate is Uplift Spice. The song “Kanojo” left an interesting taste in my mouth.
