About

I’m Rose, and this is my journaling device. It’s wonderful because I don’t have to physically write and maybe that bump on my finger will finally go away. Nice fingers are a must. Not really. I could care less what fingers look like, I just don’t like having a bump on mine. In school, I ended up with all the teachers that would make their students write everything. Even in gym. It’s probably half the reason I hated school. <— THAT is a lie.

I’ve made separate categories for original content that I’ll post occasionally, like drawings or writings. Since I’ve overcome a lot of self consciousness just to put these things on the internet, where I understand they can be stolen even if they are terrible and no one would want them, I’d like to make a sort of disclaimer here…

Some sort of disclaimer: Items posted are original content © Rose Donnola unless otherwise noted.

Written things - Stuff I write is very personal to me (just like most people who write things) because (like most people who write things) I wrote them when I was experiencing things I felt should be documented somehow, even if I’m the only person who will understand any of it. It’s my way of doing something productive with my anger or sadness or happiness or whatever.

Drawn things - Stuff that I’ve drawn will mostly be fanart (mostly), so I will provide proper credit to the original designers or ideas. Also - posts containing fan art will very likely contain plot spoilers. Browse at your own discretion.

I won’t pretend I’m good at writing or drawing, this is just a place for me to keep things. No one is making you read or look at my page. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to come here. I’m not asking for praise or suggestions, so don’t feel the need to comment unless you really want to. In any case, I will be very upset for reasons beyond credit theft if I see my things anywhere else without my permission and credit towards me. If you want to link or show my work on your page, just please let me know, it only takes a few seconds to leave a comment with your name and the page it will be on.

Translations are going to be rough to claim credit for, because of course they can be found online. The reason I translate songs anyway is to stay current with vocabulary and keep the language fresh in my mind, and I can’t really do that just by copying and pasting from another website, can I. So like everything else, I ask that you don’t take my translations and post them elsewhere. If you find a mistake or want to add something, I’m pretty good about standing corrected as long as I know I’ve learned something =)

- Japanese songs - I’ll provide the japanese lyrics along with the romaji, because sites like Kiwi-musume and Cori-chan don’t offer all three versions, and this is my way of saying “I typed it up, I looked up the kanji myself, I translated it myself, you can check the kanji if you want to.” I try to keep them as direct as possible, but since I have never actually LIVED in Japan, I can’t go around saying I’m fluent and that I’ve mastered the language. I took it through high school but I still rely on dictionaries and friends who live there to keep learning until I can pick it back up in college.
